The development and perspectives of changes in food security are an important, though often underestimated, condition for the proper functioning of the Armed Forces. The aim of this study was to analyse and assess the evolution of food security and to determine its current level in the Armed Forces. The main research problem of the study was formulated in the form of the following question: how has food security evolved and what is its current status in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, based on the example of a selected research group? In order to achieve the aim of the study and answer the question contained in the research problem, the following research methods were used: theoretical, as well as empirical. The research found that food security in the Polish Armed Forces is at a good level and the problems that do exist are not serious. At the same time, recommendations were made which, if implemented, should contribute to improving food security in the military in the long term perspective.
