Mission and Goals of the Journal "Human, Systems, Security" – a semi-annual journal of the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Przemyśl

"Human, Systems, Security" is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary scientific semi-annual journal published by the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Przemyśl, affiliated with the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities. The journal provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and the dissemination of research results in the broad field of security, both at the individual, institutional, and systemic levels. The studies published in its pages are both theoretical and empirical, covering areas relevant to security sciences, legal sciences, political and administrative sciences, as well as sociology and psychology. Particular attention is paid to issues related to the role of humans as subjects and participants in security systems, the functioning of state institutions in the face of contemporary challenges, and the complex social and psychological conditions that determine the effectiveness of actions in the sphere of public and international security. "Human, Systems, Security" provides a forum for reflection on current political, legal, and social processes, analyzed through the lens of security as a fundamental value for the functioning of communities and states. The journal is addressed to academics, experts, practitioners, and young researchers who engage in rigorous reflection on the condition of contemporary security systems and their evolution in a dynamic civilizational environment.

Journal Mission

The mission of the journal "Human, Systems, Security" is to integrate the achievements of selected scientific disciplines – particularly security sciences, legal sciences, political and administrative sciences, sociology, and psychology – for the purpose of comprehensive analysis, interpretation, and explanation of complex phenomena in the contemporary world in the area of individual, societal, and state security. The journal is an interdisciplinary forum for scholarly reflection, whose ambition is not only to describe the mechanisms of security systems but also to critically evaluate them, search for new paradigms, and promote innovative solutions. Humans occupy a special place here – perceived both as creators and users, as well as direct beneficiaries of security systems in dynamically changing social, political, and cultural conditions. Addressing contemporary challenges – such as the globalization of risk, technological transformations, the redefinition of societal security, the erosion of institutional trust, and the growing importance of mental resilience and social capital – the journal aspires to be a platform for creative exchange between science and practice. Published texts are intended not only to enrich scientific achievements but also to inspire deeper reflection and operational action in the area of shaping a secure and sustainable social order.
