ABSTRACT
This article examines the issue of disinformation targeting international students and its consequences
for higher education and information security. International students, due to their high mobility,
functioning within multiple information systems, and their opinion-forming potential, become a natural
channel for the flow of narratives – referred to as a “narrative vector.” The study discusses the characteristics
of this group, the mechanisms of disinformation, typical channels of manipulative content
distribution, and the implications for learning processes and trust in academic institutions. The final
part of the article presents strategies to counteract disinformation and to strengthen the informational
resilience of both students and universities. The analysis is based on relevant literature, statistical reports,
and theoretical concepts from the field of information operations.
