ABSTRACT
The study presents the requirements for both candidates for service and employed officers of the State Protection Service (SOP) in the context of the formation’s statutory tasks. The State Protection Service is the leading formation established to protect the most important persons in the state and the facilities serving them. In February 2018, it replaced the then existing Government Protection Bureau (BOR). This also makes it the youngest of all uniformed formations subordinate to the minister responsible for internal affairs. Despite its small size, the formation has a wide range of official positions within its structure. Therefore, the issue of recruiting future officers becomes crucial. Theoretical research methods were used in this work.
